This one will be a hit with Philadelphia Eagles fan. Eagles star quarterback Jalen hurts’ status for Saturday’s game vs. Dallas Cowboys is currently in doubt due to a shoulder injury that he reportedly sustained in the third quarter against the Chicago Bears. Sources told Tom Pelissero, NFL Network.
The shoulder injury that Jalen Hurts sustained in the Eagles’ game against the Cowboys is not considered to be serious. However, that could affect his ability to play in a major divisional match against the Cowboys.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports there is a “real chance” backup quarterback Gardner Minshew will start for the Eagles against Cowboys Week 16.
Given that Hurts’ injury isn’t serious, it would make sense for the Eagles not to allow Hurts’ shoulder to heal. The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reported that Hurts could be sidelined for the next two games.
This would allow Jalenhurts to possibly return in Week 18 prior to the playoffs.
Dual-threat quarterback, the Eagles’ MVP candidate, has thrown for 3,472 passing yard, 22 touchdowns, five interceptions, and accumulated 747 yards on the ground.
Minshew (26 years old) has played in 22 games during his four-year NFL tenure. In 2021, Minshew was involved in a quasi-quarterback controversy when he took over for injured Jalen Hurts. He led the Eagles’ victory over the New York Jets.
This performance is a sign that Philadelphia will be in good shape against the Cowboys on Saturday.
The shoulder health of Jalen hurts is the biggest concern for Eagles fans.
