Tony Pollard is clearly a talent that the Dallas Cowboys have. If they wanted to move Ezekiel Elliott, here are three possible trade destinations.
The Dallas Cowboys played a thrilling Thanksgiving Day match against the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite forcing overtime, the Raiders won the game with a 36-33 win at AT&T Stadium.
One thing you can take away from this game is Tony Pollard, Cowboys running back. He not only gained 68 yards in the game’s scrimmage, but he also returned 100-yards of kicks for touchdown.
This raises questions about what the Cowboys should do with the position. Is Ezekiel Elliott being traded ahead of the 2022 season? Here are three possible trade destinations for Elliott if that is the case.
1-Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins might be a team looking to improve their offense, particularly at running back.
Miami’s rushing attack is one of the worst in the NFL this season. The Dolphin’s rushing average of 77.4 yards per game over 11 games was second to the Houston Texans. Although the offensive line is a part of it, they could use a premier back in their arsenal.
The Dolphins could bring in Elliott to help Tua Tagovailoa if they want to get it back together for another year. It would also help that Elliott’s rookie contract can be brought in with Tagovailoa.
2-Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks currently sit in last place in NFC West loaded division. There are no signs that they will improve. After this campaign, questions about the status of quarterback Russell Wilson will be raised again.
Seattle boasts the largest receivers in D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett. However, what about adding Ezekiel Elliot to the offense?
The Seahawks will have to find a way of keeping up with the Los Angeles Rams’ explosive offense and shut down defense. The play of Kyler Murray’s offense and their many big-name players on offense has put the Arizona Cardinals at the top of the standings.
The Seahawks are the only team willing to spend draft capital on team improvements (i.e. The Seahawks made the Jamal Adams Trade
3- Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are one of the most complete teams in the NFL. They are in a position to challenge for the AFC title every year. They have Josh Allen as their quarterback, and the pass-catchers (Stefon Diggers and Dawson Knox) along with their solid defense. Their greatest weakness is running back.
Devin Singletary is Buffalo’s top rusher for the season. He ran for 415 yards on just 83 carries in their Thanksgiving game against New Orleans Saints. Allen is the Bills’ second-leading rusher with 340 yards in 61 attempts.
The Bills must make improvements at this position if they are to win the Super Bowl. Elliott could be the right addition to help ensure that they continue to be a contender for many years.
