On Thursday night, the Dallas Cowboys took the field for their first game of the 2021 season – kind of.
In the Hall of Fame Game, Dallas faced the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is the first preseason match before the 2021 season. It pits two of America’s most iconic franchises against each other.
It’s great to have football back. However, tonight’s game was more about trying to get playing time for those who were hoping to make it onto the final roster. Big names like Dak Prescott and Ben Roethlisberger didn’t suit up.
Prescott made an appearance at Cowboys camp in California. Prescott spoke to Joe Buck during the second half and discussed his shoulder injury.
Prescott stated that “we’re being cautious” during the game. We’re just taking it day by day. It’s five weeks until the season opener so I have plenty of time. I will use this time to prepare for the game.
Dak Prescott when asked about his shoulder during the Fox halftime show: “We’re being cautious. We’re taking it day-by-day. Obviously it’s five weeks before the season opener, so I’ve got a lot of time. I’m going to use that time to get myself ready for that game.”

Jay Glazer, an NFL insider, reported that Prescott has a common issue in baseball. He said that the injury is located in the armpit.
Glazer stated that while the injury is troubling, he believes Prescott should be allowed plenty of time to heal before Week 1.
Prescott is vital for the Cowboys’ ability to compete in the playoffs and win a division title.
