HBO got some great content for this year’s Dallas Cowboys edition of Hard Knocks earlier today.
Connor Williams, the Dallas offensive guard, and Aaron Donald, the Los Angeles Rams’ star, got into an on-field scuffle during a joint practice between Cowboys and Rams in Oxnard.
Williams hit Donald on the line, something that is rare for the six-time All-Pro pass rushing champion. Williams, who is the NFL Defensive Player-of-the Year, got into a fight with Williams after losing the play.
Donald, a fourth-year Dallas Lineman, was brought to the ground by the fourth-year Dallas player. He landed on the turf with almost 600 lbs of combined weight.
Cowboys training facility was packed as both teams ran to the practice-field match.
Here’s a clip of the incident:

Donald led the Rams’ defense unit to another great year in 2020, just as he did for seven years. The star defensive tackle recorded 45 tackles, 13.5 sacks and a league-leading 20.5 sacks in his third consecutive 16-game season.
Williams may not have the same resume as Donald, but he should be ready for a breakout season in 2021. The former No. The former No. 50 draft pick sustained an ACL tear that ended his season. Dallas was fortunate to be able to make a full recovery and return to the field in 2020. He also served as a solid blocker on his left side. Williams has a year of rehabilitation and full-time starting experience, so he could jump again in 2021.
Fans who were hoping to see this rivalry blossom during regular season are disappointed to learn that the Cowboys and Rams will not be facing off in 2021.
Los Angeles will open its season against the Chicago Bears, while the Cowboys will face the Buccaneers.
