They discussed a similar deal with two other potential players before Von Miller was sent to the Denver Broncos by the Los Angeles Rams for a pair Day 2 picks Monday.
Peter Schrager from NFL Network claims that Miller was available when the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills called the Broncos. It is not clear how far these talks went.
Miller would have provided a boost for both units, even though the Cowboys and Bills were more than okay on defense this season.
It’s worth keeping an eye on their activities leading up to the trade deadline.
Dallas is a strong defensive team, but Dallas may need another pass rusher. DeMarcus Lawrence, who has been out of action for six games with a broken foot, missed the last six.
Per @PSchrags, the Bills and Cowboys also called the Broncos about Von Miller.
Big time to get it done with a bunch of contenders knocking on the door.

It is not clear how many pass rushers are available right now. However, Jerry Jones is always a good choice when it comes time to make a big move.
Trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. It would be a good idea to look for reinforcements as soon as possible, especially for teams in contention like the Cowboys.
