It turns out that even Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is capable of being starstruck from time-to-time.
McCarthy waved at Roger Staubach while speaking to the media Friday afternoon. The Cowboys’ press room was passing the legendary quarterback as he walked past it.
McCarthy was so excited about Staubach, he lost all his sense of direction.
McCarthy stated, “That’s Roger Staubach.” “Man, that’s Roger Staubach,” McCarthy said. It’s funny to think about the Cowboys, Steelers, and Super Bowls. No, we’re not talking about the Cowboys, Steelers, or Super Bowls.
Social media is getting a lot of attention for McCarthy’s reaction when Staubach was seen at The Star. Many reporters, including Ed Werder and David Helman, found it funny to watch McCarthy transform into a fan for just a few seconds.

McCarthy will need to deal with injuries to his offensive personnel for Cowboys’ Game this Weekend.
Injury has ruled out Tyron Smith, offensive tackle, and Blake Jarwin, tight end. Wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper were both listed as questionable.
Dak Prescott, the Cowboys’ star player, is available to play. Due to a calf strain, he missed Sunday’s game.
Kickoff for the Cowboys’ next game is at 1:05 p.m. ET on FOX
