Cowboys Key Defensive Player Gets 2-Game Suspension

Dallas Cowboys Defensive tackle Trysten Hill will be out of action for the next two games. He was suspended after he punched John Simpson, an offensive lineman from Las Vegas Raiders, during their Thanksgiving Day match.

Hill and Simpson had been shaking hands after the Raiders’ overtime win. According to the NFL’s release, the third-year pro “waited more that 50 seconds” for Simpson before “walking toward him in the opposite direction from the [Cowboys] locker rooms.”

Hill and Simpson got into a verbal fight before Hill gave Simpson “an open-hand punch”.

Below is video of the punch.

Hill was injured and missed eight Cowboys games. Hill has played in Dallas’ three most recent contests and recorded eight tackles, five of which against the Raiders.

The Cowboys will be without the former second-round selection on Thursday against the New Orleans Saints. They also play the Washington Football Team in the NFC East on December 12.
