After the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders, a report indicated that Mike McCarthy and his team might not have Ezekiel Elliott in their offense for the New Orleans Saints game. According to ESPN insider Ed Werder, the star running back has been suffering from a persistent knee injury.
Elliot’s Monday practice designation implies that the Cowboys won’t do anything of the kind.
Despite his knee problems, Elliott participated fully in practice Monday according to Ian Rapoport. This can only be taken as a positive sign for the Cowboys, that Elliott will be available to play when Dallas faces New Orleans on Thursday night.
For the #Cowboys, RB Zeke Elliott (knee) was a full participant, a sign he’s preparing to play through the ailment Thursday. https://t.co/BDX09xBCyT

Elliott’s practice status is almost entirely in contradiction to Cowboys’ attitude after Thursday’s overtime loss against the Raiders. McCarthy expressed concern about Elliott’s health after he stated that he was concerned about his All-Pro running back.
Last Friday , Elliott’s Cowboys coach stated that he was concerned because he is a warrior. He was trying to get back in there on Thursday. Zeke is an extremely fast runner.
It seems that Elliott may not be missing any time after a restful weekend. This can only be a positive thing for Dallas.
Elliott has had 720 rushing yards, 228 receiving yard and nine touchdowns in 11 games this season. He is a key piece of the Cowboys’ explosive offense and forms one of most dynamic running back duos, along with Tony Pollard.
While Elliott’s situation will change over the course of the week, it appears that he’ll still be ready to lead Dallas against New Orleans in just a few days.
