Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn appears to enjoy the variety of players that have been on his defense this season.
On Monday, he spoke with the media and said that he would have been afraid if he had known this would happen in September. He thinks it’s amazing that it’s happened now.
This season, Dallas was subject to multiple injuries and positive COVID test results on defense.
Cowboys DC Dan Quinn said they have played 33 different players on defense this season: “If you told me that back on Sept. 1, I might have said, ‘Oh shit.’ Now that it has happened, I’m more like, ‘Oh shit, that’s pretty cool.’”

Despite this, the unit performed well in the rest of the game, except against Las Vegas. The Cowboys defense surrendered 36 points in that game and showed little resistance.
Quinn made some adjustments after the game, and his team came out flying against Saints last Thursday.
The Cowboys won the turnover battle by a plus three margin as they intercepted Taysom Hill four times, with one of them returned to the house by Carlos Watkins.
Next Sunday, they will face a tough test as they travel to Washington to take on Washington Football Team. During this winning streak of four games, Washington has scored 25+ in two of its four previous games.
Kickoff will take place at 1 p.m. ET.
