The Dallas Cowboys made several roster moves today. They added a veteran running back on their practice squad.
Ito Smith was a fourth-round selection of the Atlanta Falcons in 2018. He spent his first three professional seasons playing for Dan Quinn, Cowboys defensive coordinator. Dallas now has additional depth behind Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott in Smith.
Smith has rushed for 689 yard and six touchdowns in 35 games. He also had 55 receptions for 314 yards.
His rookie season was the source of four of his six career touchdowns.
Randy Gregory has been designated for return from injured reserve. So he's in his 21-day window and can be activated for Sunday, provided he looks good this week.
The Cowboys have also added RB Ito Smith to the practice squad. Smith was a 4th rd pick by Atlanta in 2018.

Dallas relied on Elliott and Pollard for most of the season Currently, the Cowboys’ third-string running back is Corey Clement. He is a veteran and a key contributor to special teams.
We could see Smith promoted to the Dallas 53 man roster if Elliott is forced to miss some game action.
