Cowboys backup running back Tony Pollard is emerging as a key contributor to the Dallas offense.
The electric rusher used his speed and big-play abilities to score a touchdown run of 58 yards during last week’s win against the New Orleans Saints.

Although all seemed fine during and after the play Pollard shared an unpleasant detail about his sideline scamper.
On Thursday, the third year running back disclosed to reporters that he had tore his plantar fascia while running the long TD run. He was unable to play in the fourth quarter after a strong start to the game.
This issue has made Pollard’s status uncertain for Sunday’s matchup with the Washington Football Team.
He said that “it’s really going be a game time decision”, per Cowboys insider Michael Gehlken.

The Cowboys are fortunate that Ezekiel Elliott (starting running back) has been recovering from a knee injury. He is now fully recovered and ready to go after a long period of rest.
Tony Pollard and Zeke have been a formidable duo in the Dallas backfield. With 765 yards and 173 carries, Elliott leads the pack. Pollard is close behind with 602 yards and 107 attempts. Pollard is a more skilled option in the air than Zeke, with 259 yards on 107 attempts.
Elliott will be assisted by veteran running back Corey Clement if Pollard is unable to travel on Sunday.
