According to a new report, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley was reportedly fined multiple times this season for violating COVID-19 protocols.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the total fines reached $100,000.
In August, Beasley was the first to be fined $14,000. Since Beasley, 32, committed other violations to the NFL’s safety and health guidelines, the amount has risen.
“Beasley was fined $14,600 in August on a day league officials were in the facility to review the protocols. The $14,600 fine has been doubled on more than one occasion via video monitoring by the league, ” Mortensen wrote on Twitter Sunday. “One source estimated the $100,000 total sum, another source believed it was just short of that amount.”

After testing positive for COVID-19 Tuesday, Beasley will be unable to play against the New England Patriots on Sunday. He will be absent for the next 10 days because he has not been vaccinated since his positive first test.
Beasley has been criticized for his comments on COVID-19 vaccines this season. spoke out about his positive test earlier in the week via social media. He again took aim at league protocols.
There are several team execs who believe it's one loophole that needs to be revisited for 2022, believing an unvaccinated player who lands of the Covid-19 reserve list should not be paid if he misses a game or games.

Covid isn’t keeping me out of the game, just to be clear. He wrote on Instagram. “… We appreciate all who support. All other people, if it’s not clear to you then there’s nothing anyone can do.
“Vaxxed players are playing with Covid every week now because they don’t test. One of my vaxxed teammates is in the hospital missing games. I’m sure he didn’t get this same energy.”
Beasley played in 14 games and made 76 receptions for 640 yards and one touchdown.
Beasley said, “I feel fine with mild symptoms.” “Thanks for your support. “I look forward to getting back out there soon with my teammates.”
