The Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers will meet on Sunday in an exciting matchup between old rivals. This matchup is actually troubling Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin.
Irvin was interviewed on The Rich Eisen show Tuesday to discuss his anxiety about the Cowboys’ matchup with the 49ers. The legend wideout admitted that he didn’t want Dallas to face San Francisco until the end of the postseason.
Irvin replied, “Absolutely.” “Absolutely,” Irvin said. It was the worst draw. I wanted San Fran and Green Bay to knock out Green Bay and the Rams before they saw us.
Irvin noted that San Francisco is able to manage time with its running game and can open up the offense if it needs it to. It also has playmakers such as George Kittle or Deebo Samuel, who are able to consistently move the chains.
It would seem, and @michaelirvin88 confirmed it, that #DallasCowboys fans are awfully nervous heading into Sunday's #NFLPlayoffs matchup against #FTTB:#NFL pic.twitter.com/7yftNUrodb

Irvin also stated that the 49ers have an “opportunistic” defense. Matthew Stafford, the Rams’ quarterback, was forced to intercept two passes by this “opportunistic” unit last Sunday.
The Cowboys must ensure that they play well against the 49ers if they want to reach the Divisional Round.
The Cowboys-49ers match kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET.
