While the Pro Bowl is an exhibition for most players, it’s not for Micah Parsons, Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker.
Parsons, who as a rookie took the league by storm due to his versatility and playmaking abilities, gave a warning to his competitors before the all-star showcase in Las Vegas.
“I already told them I’m going hard as heck,” Parsons told NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe on Saturday. “I’m going to be like Sean Taylor out in that joint. They’re going to tell me to slow down. They’re going to be so mad.”

Parsons is of course referring to the late, great Washington safety who obliterated Buffalo Bills punter Bryan Moorman on a fake punt during the 2007 Pro Bowl. YouTube has immortalized Taylor’s hit for future generations.
Parsons has had a productive week at Pro Bowl. Parsons won the Skills Showdown Fastest Man contest, beating Nick Chubb, Tyreek Hill and Dallas teammate Trevon diggs. However, Parsons later admitted Hill wasn’t going 100 per cent.
Today’s Pro Bowl will be a test to see if he can live up to his pregame promises. It starts at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN.
