Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback, spent the majority of last offseason rehabbing an ankle injury. He has more time this year to work on his skills.
Prescott spoke out about his offseason training plan before the Children’s Cancer Gala. Prescott, a Pro Bowl signal-caller, revealed that he has been improving his foot speed.
“I’m not rehabbing one thing. I’m working on my whole body,” Prescott said, via ESPN’s Todd Archer. “From my foot speed, it’s not just putting this down. Now it’s, ‘Can I get this thing faster than they’ve ever been?’ It’s about improving on the person and player I was before the injury now and being the best player I can be for this organization.”

Prescott also said that he doesn’t have to worry as much about his right ankle injury like he used too.
“It goes from getting that leg better to that’s not even a thought in my head. There’s days, maybe the cold front comes in, that I might feel it a little bit more, but it’s not a thought in my head or a worry or rehabbing on.”
Prescott had surgery to correct his non-throwing shoulder in January. However, he stated that he is feeling “great”.
Prescott had 4,449 yards passing, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2021. The Cowboys are the favorite to win the NFC East if Prescott has similar results in the fall.
The Cowboys won’t be satisfied with a division title. The Cowboys will enter the 2022 season with high expectations and they are rightfully so.
