The Dallas Cowboys took Tyler Smith, an offensive tackle from Tulsa, with the 24th overall selection in the draft.
Analysts and fans were both shocked by the decision. They cited Smith’s inept game and propensity to hold penalties as reasons why they should have taken another route.
Smith stated that he doesn’t care what the media says about him during Friday’s introductory press conference.
“I stay away from the media. Everybody has an opinion. It’s like buttholes, everybody has one,” he said.
Mike McCarthy, Cowboys’ head coach, and everyone else in the room responded as if they had never heard of this famous saying. McCarthy was overcome by shock, but quickly became a laughing stock.
McCarthy stated, “That was a good idea.”
#Cowboys first-round OT Tyler Smith just dropped a doozy of a quote when asked if he pays attention to what people write about him.

Smith played tackle during his college career but is expected to start his NFL career at the guard position.
The Cowboys will select the No. 56 overall selection in tonight’s 2nd round.
