Smith has had to deal with injuries throughout his career. Smith was injured in his early twenties and missed 11 games last season.
After sustaining a neck injury in drills prior to a matchup against Atlanta Falcons, he only played in two games during 2020 season.
He attempted to make a comeback in the season, but he suffered a setback that ended his season.
Smith is an important player for the Cowboys if they are to be able to run the ball efficiently. Smith opens up lanes in a way that few other tackles can.
He is hopeful that this is a minor injury.
