Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys running back, has been a well-respected player in the NFL for many years. Yet, he is going into the 2022 season with a chip in his shoulder.
Elliott spoke with reporters after the Cowboys’ OTA trainings on Thursday. He’s ready for a rebound campaign after sustaining injuries in 2021.
Elliott stated, via NFL.com.
Elliott suffered from a partially torn patellar ligament in his left knee during the second half 2021 season. He chose to ignore the pain.
“It’s true that I was hurt last season, but it is football. After Week 1, no one will be 100%. He said that it’s all part of the game. “I believe I knew that I was tough. I think I also knew I could handle injuries. It was certainly tough but it’s my job.

Elliott was still able to run 1,002 yards on rushing and score 10 touchdowns on 237 runs last season despite being injured.
Elliott was a sharp, explosive athlete before he was hurt. This is the version that Cowboys hope to see this fall.
