The Dallas Cowboys had a terrible offseason in 2022. The team lost key players on both sides of their game after an embarrassing Wild Card round appearance. Amari Cooper was traded to Cleveland.
Talks have been going on about Cooper’s replacement as Cowboys’ premier wide receiver. The consensus is that CeeDee lamb will be the team’s WR1. The Browns wide-out said this when they were asked about the change.
“CeeDee has been ready. [laughs] CeeDee has been ready. It’s all about the opportunity. If Kellen Moore decides to feature him he is definitely ready to take the next step. CeeDee is a great playmaker.
Ex-Cowboys WR Amari Cooper to @dfwticket on CeeDee Lamb's readiness to be No. 1 WR: "CeeDee's been ready. [laughs] CeeDee's been ready. Again, it's just about opportunity. I think if Kellen (Moore) decides to feature him, he's definitely ready to step up. CeeDee is a playmaker."

Lamb and Cooper were the league’s most dangerous wide-receiving duos last season. Both Cooper’s steady hands and Lamb’s incredible speed were huge assets to the Cowboys. Both could easily be considered WR1s for any other team.
The Cowboys now need to regroup and find their feet after the loss of their star receiver. They hope Lamb and Michael Gallup will be enough to win next season.
To make matters worse for the Cowboys, one of their fiercest division rivals made a massive trade in the offseason. The Philadelphia Eagles made a trade for star receiver AJ Brown to strengthen an offense that is poised to be a top contender. Dallas could be fighting for the Wild Card spot if they don’t take care.
