In Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys had a terrible start to their 2022 season.
The team lost their first matchup to the Buccaneers by 19-3 on Sunday. They also had a number of injuries.
Four Cowboys players have been ruled out by the Cowboys for Sunday’s match against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Already ruled out for Sunday vs. Cincinnati: Dak Prescott (thumb), Jayron Kearse (knee), Tarell Basham (quad), Connor McGovern (ankle). Team will have to make roster moves by Friday to fill some spots.

Prescott sustained a right thumb injury during the season-opening loss of his team. Although the original timeline for Prescott’s return was 6-8 weeks, a follow-up after his surgery revealed a more optimistic timeline. Cowboys have not put their QB on injured reserve. This suggests that he could return in the next four weeks.
Kearse sustained an MCL injury and will be out for 2-4 weeks. McGovern’s high ankle sprain will keep him out of action for the next few weeks. The Cowboys still need to know when Basham will be able to return from his thigh injury.
Wide receiver Michael Gallup was elevated from out to questionable Tuesday.
On Sunday, the Cowboys will host the Bengals in a Week 2 matchup at AT&T Stadium.
