For at least four weeks, the Dallas Cowboys won’t have their starting quarterback Dak Prescott.
Cooper Rush, the backup quarterback, will see plenty of action in the coming months. Although it’s not ideal to have a backup quarterback, the Cowboys have shown their faith in Rush.
Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys running back, praised Rush Wednesday afternoon. Elliott spoke highly of the backup, saying that he has a lot trust and faith in him.
“Coop is definitely a little more laid back but when he needs to be assertive he will be. Coop is a great backup. He’s a good quarterback. … I know Coop knows his s***. I know he’s on top of this offense.”

Elliott is clearly comfortable with Rush taking over for Prescott in the coming weeks. Rush was able to complete 7 of 13 passes for 64 yards in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defeat after taking over for Prescott.
What will he do this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals?
