As expected, Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, gave a great performance in an AFC West match.
Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 27-24 win victory over Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. Over the course of the game, Mahomes built a strong relationship with several wide receivers, including Justin Watson.
The Chargers sent five players out to rush Mahomes on a critical third down play in quarter three. However, it did not seem to be enough to stop him. Mahomes responded by getting up in the pocket and dropping a deep pass for Watson for a 41 yard touchdown.

Numerous NFL players quickly took to Twitter to respond to Mahomes’ touchdown pass. This included Tyreek Hill, his former teammate and current Miami Dolphins wide receiver.

Mahomes and Hill were a familiar pair for Chiefs coaches. Hill was a six-season AFC West star and scored 21 receiving touchdowns. Opposing defensive coordinators were frequently in awe at Hill’s chemistry with Mahomes.
Overall, the Chiefs offense has fared well in the post-Tyreek Hill era. Mahomes continues to use multiple talents in the passing department, as evidenced by the nine receptions that Mahomes received during their home win over the Chargers.
