On Monday Night Football, the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are locked in a defensive deadlock. Neither team was able to find the end zone in the first half.
Dez Bryant wished he could have played with a unit such as this.
The former Cowboys wide receiver said to Tony Romo that they “needed this Dallas D” during the game.
..@tonyromo we needed this Dallas D

From 2010 to 2016, Dallas was 14th in total defense, with a last-place ranking in 2013. Bryant made some progress in his career but Dallas didn’t finish higher than 14th in total defense from 2010 to 2016, including a last-place rank in 2013.
During Bryant’s decade as an NFL player, the Cowboys won three NFC East championships. Even though Dak Prescott is currently out of action, Micah Parsons’ defense could keep Dallas on track.
The Cowboys held Tom Brady to just 212 passing yards in Week 1, a 19-3 loss. Joe Burrow was then sacked six times by the Cowboys in a 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bryant may have misjudged his former team. With 5:31 remaining in the third quarter, the Giants led 13-6 with a 36-yard touchdown by Saquon Barkley.
The Cowboys of last decade could have used the current team’s defensive prowess. However, Bryant would be an offensive playmaker for this team with Michael Gallup or Dalton Schultz out.
