Andy Dalton Shares Heartfelt Message For Dak Prescott

Andy Dalton shares message about Dak Prescott

Andy Dalton was thrown in the starting mix not by choice.

Dak Prescott suffered a compound fracture in his ankle during the third quarter of Dallas’ 37-34 win over the New York Giants. The injury required surgery late Sunday night, but the updates provided signaled that Prescott will likely make a full recovery.

Prescott was in tears when he was carted off the field due to his high competitive nature. It broke all the hearts of Cowboys players and those around the league.

Even though Dalton gets to return to being a starting quarterback in the league, he still is upset about his teammate, via Cowboys reporter Michael Gehlken.

“Cowboys QB Andy Dalton: “I can’t thank Dak enough for what he’s meant to be, just to be around him and watch him work, watch how he prepares, watch how he has led this team. I’ve loved seeing it. I feel like it’s going to make me a better quarterback.”

The Cowboys sit at the top of the division with a 2-3 overall record and have not lived up to expectations. Perhaps, the team will rally around Prescott’s injury when the team plays on Monday Night Football.

We’ll find out if the “Red Rifle” is ready to take on this challenge soon enough; however, Dalton knows exactly why he was brought to this team. [

According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Michael Gallup said that Dalton had a message for the team the first time he took the huddle. He told the team, “Focus up, this is what I came here for.”

Apparently, every time Dalton entered the huddle, he told the team “I came here to win. I came here to play. Let’s do it.”

Dalton helped muscle the Cowboys to a 37-34 win over the Giants. Despite not scoring any touchdowns, he helped set up two critical field goals as he finished with 111 yards passing and a QBR of 108.7.
