The waiver wire race has a winner for theĀ former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver. It’s the Monsters of the Midway.
The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that Finke was taken off waivers. Finke will join a WRs group that recently added Velus Jones Jr. via draft.
Former Notre Dame wide receiver, he was not drafted in 2020. He signed as a free agent with the San Francisco 49ers that year. In 2021, he was briefly on the practice squad.
Finke has not yet made his NFL debut, but he was close to making it with the Chiefs in 2021. Finke signed a futures contract with the team in January but it was recently cancelled.
The Bears have claimed WR Chris Finke off of waivers from the Chiefs.

Chris Finke, a Notre Dame receiver, had 106 receptions and 1,251 yards. He also scored eight touchdowns in five seasons. In 13 games, he averaged more than 15 yards per catch.
Finke has had trouble getting snaps in the NFL, but he will have a better chance with the Chicago Bears. The 32 teams have a very low ranking for WRs.
It’s obvious that Finke might not be able crack the Bears roster if he can’t crack it.
Chris Finke will make the Chicago Bears’ final 53-man roster. He will make his NFL debut in 2022.
