Colin Cowherd did not hold back.
There are many in the county who believe the Cowboys are going to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since the mid-90s. However, the FS1 sports radio host was very blunt when it came to his take on the America’s Team.
“It’s going to be a very disappointing year in the state of Texas,” claimed Cowherd at the end of the segment.
Cowherd made the claim at the end of his segment on “Obvious Takes” on The Herd. Given how poor the NFC East was last year, being average will likely be good enough for the second year in a row.
The Giants and Washington Football Team are not going to contend, while the Eagles have more injuries than questions or answers at this point. However, Cowherd believes that the Eagles have a slight advantage over the Cowboys.
The Cowboys have gone through a massive overhaul in 2020. Mike McCarthy ended a 10-year tenure of Jason Garrett. Dak Prescott was placed on the franchise tag to “prove himself.” Huge contracts have been given to Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper, so it’s time to prove they are superstars.
A newly constructed defense, and the hopefully healthy unit, looks to rebound from their 20s rank in 2019. The talent is there on paper but getting everything put together has been a struggle over the last couple of seasons.
Do you think the Cowboys can win the NFC East?
