This Saturday, the Cowboys will make an official roster move in support of Cooper Rush.
Dallas has added Rush, the temporary starting quarterback for Prescott, to its active roster. Rush’s backup, Will Grier has been promoted from the practice team.
Cowboys officially signed QB Cooper Rush and K Brett Maher to their active roster and elevated QB Will Grier from the practice squad. Rush and Grier are the 1 and 2 QBs on Sunday vs. the Bengals.

Rush has appeared in 11 NFL games. Rush has 488 yards and three touchdowns, with just one pick.
Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy clearly trust Rush to run the show until Prescott is able to return from injury. Some are surprised that the Cowboys haven’t tried to trade for a quarterback.
Rush and the Cowboys will face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon.
