The Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs during the 2020 season after a hoard of devastating injuries throughout the season.
Unfortunately, the multitude of injuries was headlined by the season-ending ankle injury to Dak Prescott. Prescott currently has a shoulder injury and will miss camp.
However, he should be available to play for the 2021 season. Another concerning injury came to star wide receiver Amari Cooper who underwent ankle surgery during the offseason.
Cooper updated his status earlier this week. Cooper stated that he would be back on the field within a “couple weeks,” but this didn’t inspire much confidence among Cowboys fans. During an appearance on 105.3 the Fan via Sports Illustrated, he stated that he was supposed to be out there “very soon”. “A few weeks.”
A new report indicates that he will be available when the 2021 season officially begins.
Cooper had a great start to 2020 before Prescott suffered a season-ending injury. Cooper, a former first-round selection, racked up more than 400 yards receiving and a touchdown during the team’s four first games.
The Cowboys have one of the most impressive wide receivers rooms in the league, thanks to Cooper and wide receivers CeeDee Lamb as well as Michael Gallup.
