Fans of the Dallas Cowboys heard about Ezekiel Elliott’s knee injury over the past few weeks.
The star running back has clearly been hampered by the issue this season. However, Elliott said Wednesday that his knee is feeling better and that he can play on it.
This is good news, but it could be even more positive for the Cowboys following Wednesday’s latest hit. Todd Archer, a Cowboys insider, reports that Tony Pollard may not be available as backup running back.
It’s not yet “red-alert”, but he noted that Pollard is “banged-up”.
Archer stated that there is concern about Tony Pollard’s availability on Sunday due to his foot injury. Pollard was unable to play Sunday due to the knee problem, so they added Ito Smith as a PS. Corey Clement is the other RB on this 53-man roster.
There is some concern – maybe not red-alert – about Tony Pollard's availability Sunday with that foot injury. With Ezekiel Elliott dealing with the knee issue, Pollard banged up, that's why they added Ito Smith to PS. Corey Clement the other RB on the 53-man roster.

Ito Smith, a veteran running back, was added to the practice squad by Dallas. On the 53-man active roster, the team has Corey Clement, a veteran running back.
The Cowboys may have to rely upon Dak Prescott’s arm if Pollard is unable to go, and Elliott still has a knee problem.
This weekend, Dallas will face off against Washington Football Team. A win would give Cowboys control of the division.
