Tony Romo wore the No. 9 throughout his career with Dallas Cowboys. It wasn’t retired but his number is very much protected by fans because of the many memorable moments Romo had in Dallas.
Although it won’t go down well with their fans the Cowboys will allow an offensive player to wear No. 9 for this season.
According to the Cowboys official website, KaVontae Turpin, wide receiver for the Cowboys will be wearing No. For his first year in Dallas, he will wear No.
Turpin was the MVP of the 2022 USFL Season. He secured his place on the Cowboys roster with an explosive preseason.

Turpin scored two special-teams touchdowns on Aug. 20 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He returned a kick for 98 yards and punted for 86 yards.
Turpin wore No. 2 in the preseason.
Fans may not like Turpin’s Romo jersey, but they will forgive him if he makes plays this fall.
