Is Dak Prescott capable to lead the Dallas Cowboys into a Super Bowl appearance?
Jerry Jones expressed his opinions on the matter earlier in this week. The Cowboys owner is still very confident in his quarterback.
Jones stated that Dak has the ability to make it happen.
Some, such as a Dallas Cowboys legend are less certain.
Drew Pearson, a former Cowboys wide receiver and Pro Football Hall of Famer, admitted that he isn’t sure if Prescott will be there after the Wild Card defeat to the 49ers.
“I’m just wavering now with Dak,” Pearson said on The Zach Gelb Show. “I saw regression as the season went on — that’s a disappointment at $40 million a year. It’s not about the money. It’s about that player playing the position and not improving, declining in a year where we started out so well. … We almost had the NFC East won in the first seven weeks. Then we started going downhill. A lot of it was on the offensive side of the ball, and a lot of it was predicated by the play of the quarterback.”
It is fair to say that Prescott’s and the Cowboys’ playoff performance was a disappointment.
Prescott and his huge contract won’t be going anywhere. Prescott will be the Cowboys’ Super Bowl contender in the next few years.
