America’s Team remains on top.
In a recent graphic posted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dallas Cowboys remain as one of the most valuable franchises in the NFL. The Cowboys rank No. 1 with an estimated value of $5.7 billion.
Following behind are the New England Patriots ($4.4 billion), New York Giants ($4.3 billion), Los Angeles Rams ($4.0 billion), and San Francisco 49ers ($3.8 billion).
The Cowboys are worth just over $1 million more than the next ranked team, while two of the top five are west coast teams, perching in California.
Having nearly 40 years to grow its brand on the West Coast has certainly helped their case.
The Patriots’ worth grew over the last two decades in part to Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick’s six Super Bowl titles. Brady is potentially the greatest quarterback to ever play the game and his brand grew across the nation and the world.
In terms of the Cowboys, the team has not made a Super Bowl since 1996 but their worth remains true. Love them or hate them, the Cowboys are a marketing volcano. Jones has poured millions into this team since taking over in the 1980s.
Which team do you think should be worth the most in the league?
