On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback room was transformed into a single room.
Jeremy Fowler from ESPN reports that the Cowboys released Will Grier, a former West Virginia standout.
Grier was suffering from a groin injury during camp, but Dallas liked what it saw of the young QB and made him a viable candidate for practice squad.

Dak Prescott, along with fifth-year vet Cooper Rush are the Cowboys’ only quarterback on their 53-man roster.
After putting up impressive numbers in college, Grier was selected by the Panthers as the third round pick in 2019.
He was able to complete 53.8 percent of his passes, which netted him 228 yards and four interceptions in his rookie season.
