Malik Jefferson was signed by the Dallas Cowboys to add depth to their linebacker room. They had to let go of another player in order to make space for Jefferson on their roster.
According to ESPN’s Todd Archer the Cowboys have released running back JaQuan Hary.
Hardy, a Tiffin University undrafted player, signed with Cowboys in 2021. The practice squad was where he spent the majority of his season.
Although Hardy didn’t get a lot of touches last year, he put in a good performance in Week 18. Hardy ran for 26 yards and scored a touchdown in just three plays.
Hardy will need to find a new home as training camp is near.
To make room for LB Malik Jefferson, Cowboys released RB JaQuan Hardy, who spent most of last year on the practice squad. Roster is at 91 (including Isaac Alarcon international player exemption).

Hardy, 24 years old, should be able land another opportunity very soon. Dallas’ former G-MAC Athlete-of-the-Year was a respected figure in the locker room.
Now that Hardy is out of the picture, Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard make up the Cowboys’ backfield. Rico Dowdle also makes up the Cowboys’ frontfield.
