Since Gallup suffered a calf strain during a Week 1 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Dallas Cowboys are without WR3. The fourth-year wideout was placed on the injured reserve and has missed six of his team’s last six matches.
Despite this, it seems that his return to the field is possible.
Gallup was re-designated by the Cowboys to be back from the IR on Monday — giving him a 21-day window to get back to play. Although he was unable to play in Week 8, he has been training with the team ever since Wednesday.
According to Jon Machota, a Dallas insider from the Athletic, the Cowboys “hope” Gallup will be able return to Dallas this weekend to face the Denver Broncos in Week 9. It will all depend on how much he practices during the week.
The Cowboys are hopeful WR Michael Gallup (calf) can play Sunday, but it will be determined by how he practices this week

Cedrick Wilson, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee lamb have been named Dak Prescott’s third target after Gallup.
