Two kickers from the Dallas Cowboys will be training with them on Wednesday.
Greg Zuerlein, the starting kicker, was promoted to the Reserve/COVID-19 List on Tuesday. This puts his status for Sunday’s game against Atlanta Falcons in serious doubt.
According to Jon Machota, The Athletic, Dallas will be training both Lirim Hajrullahu as well as Brett Maher.

Maher should be the Cowboys’ most well-known name. Before he was cut, he kicked in Dallas in 2018 and 2019. He was 49-for66 from field goal range in those two seasons and made two kicks over 60 yards.
He was inconsistent in the 40-49 yard area. In 2018, Maher was only 7-for-11 in that range. And it got worse in 2019. Maher only managed to hit one of five targets within that range, and he finished the season with 66.7% overall accuracy.
Hajrullahu was previously a Cowboys practice team member. He also served as Greg Zuerlein’s backup earlier in the season. He is a six-year veteran in the CFL, and has scored on 83.3% his field goals.
Dallas will host a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. ET kickoff against Atlanta is Sunday. All eyes will be on who the kicker will be.
