The Dallas Cowboys are expected to be a major contender this season. However, there are still areas that could use some work.
Calvin Watkins, Dallas Morning News, is still concerned about wide receiver and offensive tackle groups as well as the placekicking spot.
Jonathan Garibay is listed as the starter at this time, despite his struggles during training camp. He was selected by the Cowboys in the NFL Draft this year to be their long-term kicker. However, he will need to demonstrate more consistency if they want him to win the job.
Cowboys position group that I am worried about: Kicker, OT (swing tackle) and WR.

To open the season, Dallas will be without James Washington or Michael Gallup at wide receiver. Gallup is still recovering after a torn ACL, while Washington had surgery to repair a fractured foot.
The Cowboys are left with Jalen Tolbert and CeeDee Lamb.
Tyron Smith and Terence Steele will be starting tackles, but there is no third tackle. Matt Waletzko had hoped to be that guy, but he is currently injured.
Good news for Cowboys fans is that they still have a month to add to their roster before the regular season.
