After the end of the 2020 NFL season, Amari Cooper, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys underwent surgery to repair his right ankle. Cooper is still recovering slowly and Cooper will “cut it close” to his rehab so that it can be completed by the Cowboys’ first training camp workout on July 22 .
Cooper’s recovery is not a concern. Even if Cooper isn’t ready for the first day of training, the wide receiver should be able to return to practice relatively quickly.
Cooper had to have a clean-up operation on his ankle in January. Although Cooper’s recovery took longer than expected, the Cowboys don’t want him back to hurry up and make matters worse. Mike McCarthy, Cowboys’ head coach, said that Cooper was still recovering from the surgery.
Cooper, 27, had one of his best seasons in 2020. He caught 92 passes for 1,114 yard and five touchdowns. This wideout was so productive, even though Dak Prescott was injured early in the season. It led to a lot of Andy Dalton who was a significant step up from Prescott.

Prescott is returning to the Cowboys for 2021. This will be a rebound from the disastrous season which saw them finish 6-10.
