Dallas Cowboys appear to have lost one of their most valuable wideouts going into the regular season.
Michael Gallup was put on the PUP List on Wednesday. He’s still recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The injury occurred in the Cowboys’ 2nd-to-last regular season game.
Gallup spoke with the media Thursday to discuss the possibility of him playing in Week 1. He said that it is unlikely.
Gallup stated, “It’s not an conceivable possibility.”

Gallup will likely return to the field at some point in the season. However, it could not be until Week 3 and Week 4.
If they need to, the Cowboys should be capable of getting through their first few games with him out. They have CeeDee Lamb back and Dalton Schultz, and they signed James Washington in free agent and selected Jalen Tolbert for the NFL Draft.
Dallas will open its season against Tampa Bay on Sunday Night Football on September 11.
