This week, Cowboys wide receiver James Washington was diagnosed with a serious injury. The ex-Steeler from Pittsburgh will miss significant time in training camp as well as the 2022 season.
Washington fractured his foot during practice this week. His expected return time is anywhere from 6 to 10 weeks.
This Tuesday night, the new Dallas Cowboy sent a message of thanks to all his fans. He expressed gratitude to everyone for their “prayers, thoughts”, and is optimistic about the future.
“I just wanted to say thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. God’s timing is always perfect, but it’s very individual. Road to recovery. God bless,” wrote Washington.

James Washington will be playing at some point in the 2022 season. This is good news, provided everything goes according to plan. He will join the Cowboys’ receivers unit, which already includes Jalen Tolbert, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. Gallup is currently recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Bottom line: When the Cowboys offense is healthy, it should be one the best passing attacks in the NFL. It’s still a work-in-progress situation.
