CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, had a great game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday but also suffered an injury. Lamb was listed as questionable to be returned after suffering an arm contusion. He is not likely to return Sunday due to the Cowboys’ large lead.
After a disappointing performance against the Denver Broncos, the Cowboys are back on track offensively. Lamb was injured against the Falcons and had six receptions for just 94 yards. He also scored two touchdowns on seven targets before he left.
Lamb had a huge season for the Cowboys so it is possible that his injury will not be serious. The former Oklahoma star had 41 receiving yards on 66 targets, 632 yards and four touchdowns in the previous year. On the season, he has three 100-yard receiving games.
Cowboys offense almost back to full health
The Cowboys aren’t at their best offensively yet this season. Michael Gallup, wide receiver, just made his return against Falcons. He caught three passes for 42 yard. Gallup is back in Cowboys’ receiver area after his injury. Lamb is thrilled.
Lamb expressed excitement about Gallup’s return in a tweet posted by Jon Machota, The Athletic. “Many people are aware of what MG can accomplish, and if not, you will soon. He is a great playmaker and a fantastic teammate. I can’t wait to see him touch the endzone a few times soon.
Lamb was the Cowboys’ leading receiver entering Sunday’s game. Amari Cooper was just behind Lamb with 40 receptions, on 61 targets for 532 yard and five touchdowns. In Gallup’s absence, the Cowboys have had reliable pass catchers in Cedrick Wilson and Dalton Schultz.
The Cowboys will be 7-2 for the season, which further extends their lead in the NFC East. The Cowboys could have a fantastic finish if Lamb and the other players can avoid the injury bug.
