Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys tight-end, gave a clear vision Thursday afternoon about his future plans.
Schultz spoke with reporters today to express his preference for the Cowboys. While he acknowledged that he was frustrated by not being able to get a new deal, he didn’t want any further discussion.
Schultz stated, via Cowboys reporter Michael Gehlken, “This is where my heart wants to be.” “I have said it from the beginning, and I will keep saying it. This is where you want to be.”
Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz acknowledged frustration about no extension but says he won’t talk about his contract after today. It’s done. Focus on football. “This is where I want to be. I’ve said that from the start, and I’ll keep it saying it. This is where I want to be.”

Stephen Jones spoke out earlier this week about contract negotiations with Schultz.
“I certainly understand where Dalton’s coming from. He represents everything we want in a Dallas Cowboy, on and off the field. . . . He’s an available player who plays at a high level.”
“So it’s no secret that we wanted him to sign a long-term contract. It’s about finding the right answer to that question, which I believe we will eventually do. Dalton is going to be a long-term Cowboy. The long-term aspect of this didn’t come out the way it was supposed to.
Will Schultz and Cowboys reach a new agreement before the season begins?
