Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn emerged as a potential head coach candidate in the NFL during the past few weeks.
Quinn chose to keep his mouth shut about whispers of interest from other teams in him. On multiple occasions, he has tried to keep his focus on the current team, including today.
Quinn spoke out today about his decision not to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars regarding their head coaching position.
“I’m just enjoying what I’m doing. I’m really having the time of my life with this group of guys,” Quinn said via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I just wanted to be right where I’m at. It was nothing more than that.”

Quinn may look for another coaching opportunity as soon as there are more coaching positions available. Quinn is currently in charge of the most important defensive unit in the league.
The strength of a restructured defense has helped Dallas go from 6-10 to 11-5 in 2020 and one game to play 2021. This group could be put to the test in the playoffs, when Dallas could face the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals in round one.
They will first need to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Saturday’s regular season finale.
