This week, COVID-19 has decimated the Dallas Cowboys. News broke Monday that Mike McCarthy , the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, had tested positive for the virus. Dallas is now experiencing more COVID-related problems.
According to ESPN’s Todd Archer a few Cowboys coaches and players are part of the league’s COVID protocols.
Archer stated that “Terence Steele and Mike McCarthy, Joe Philbins, Jeff Blasko Jeff Blasko, Scott Tolzeins, Harold Nash, Kendall Smith [and] Cedric Smith” were all positive.

Archer reported that Cedric Smith, assistant strength- and conditioning coach could be back on Thursday.
This is not good news for a Dallas Cowboys team who has lost two games in as few weeks. Dallas avoided COVID mishaps last season. This year, however, is a different story.

On the player side, Zack Martin and Keanu Cooper, Amari Cooper, Randy Gregory (both ), Greg Zuerlein, Brandon Knight, Bradlee Anae, and Amari Cooper all missed time because of COVID 2021.
McCarthy is expected to continue meeting with the team up until Thursday night.
We’ll be watching to see how this impacts the team’s performance against 5-6 Saints.
