After a one-game absence from the field due to a strained right calf injury, Dak Prescott was back on the field Sunday. Although the Dallas Cowboys are thrilled to have their quarterback back on the field, things have not been going very well so far.
Midway through the first period, the Cowboys trail the Broncos 13-0.
Prescott’s performance can be described using one word: rusty.
Prescott’s record is 4/11 for 54 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. So far, Prescott has missed wide open wide receivers.
Dak is obviously rusty – shockingly off-target early.

Dak Prescott is rusty and the Cowboys are sleepy…
No excuse for the Pollard drop. Appeared that Lamb slowed up before accelerating on the deep ball from Dak— Clarence Hill Jr (@clarencehilljr) November 7, 2021
Very Clear Dak looks rusty.
This was what I was scared of a lot of game left but team looks flat.— (Foots The King) (@FootsDaKing) November 7, 2021
It doesn't help that Dak is a little rusty, but Kellen Moore's playcalling is puzzling me so far in this game.

Two weeks off and Dak looks Hella rusty. That's okay. Expect a big 2nd half explosion.

Prescott’s second-half explosion will be crucial for the Cowboys. With 10 minutes left in the second quarter, Dallas trails Denver 13-0. The Broncos hold the ball, and the Cowboys can’t afford to lose by three points.
FOX will air this afternoon’s game.
