The Dallas Cowboys camp is abuzz with talk about Elliott’s potential.
To live up to these expectations, Elliott must be fit and healthy when the season begins. He may opt to miss preseason games in order to make sure this happens.
According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Elliott will not be participating in any Dallas exhibition matches this month.
Elliott stated, “I don’t think I need to play a preseason match, especially with the joint practice (with the Broncos & Chargers),”
Ezekiel Elliott is not expected to play in the preseason. Zeke: "I've been playing football 20 years. This is my 7th year (in the NFL). I've seen a lot of football. I don't think I need a preseason game, especially with the joint practices (with the Broncos and Chargers)."

Before their preseason games against AFC West teams, the Cowboys will have joint practices with Denver & Los Angeles.
Dallas will host the Seattle Seahawks in their final exhibition match on August 26. The Cowboys will open the regular season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in September 11.
