After their win over the NFC East rival, Ezekiel Ell made a direct call to Odell beckham Jr for his services as a Cowboys’ player. The New York Giants were defeated by Dallas in a 28-20 victory. This game is jokingly called the “Beckham Bowl” because the wide receiver weighs his options between the two sides.
Many Dallas players have been making pleas to Beckham in recent weeks to get him to join their offensive team as they prepare to make the playoffs. Elliott shared a message for Beckham after Thursday’s win. He didn’t mince words
After the game, Around The NFL’s Jeremy Bergman shared the following: Elliott’s comments to Jane Slater about Beckham.
“Ezekiel Elliott to [Jane Slater] on his message to Odell Beckham: ‘Hey, OBJ, man: We want you in Dallas. You know, all the stars shine brighter in Dallas. So I mean, look, we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do to get him. Hey, we need OBJ.’”
Elliott isn’t the only Dallas star asking Beckham to join them. DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott are all pushing for an agreement between the two sides. Prescott stated on Tuesday that the team’s win against the Minnesota Vikings was a strong recruiting effort.
When we’re playing like [how we did in Minnesota] and you’re able to add a talent like Odell, that can be special,” said Prescott. “That just creates more weapons for not only me, but for the offense [as a whole] and for the play-caller. It’s more things for the defense to worry about.
“We’re getting him in [for a visit] and hopefully things are going great in the recruiting process.”
“He knows how much I want him here,” added Prescott. “And a lot of the guys in this locker room have reached out on their own in different ways — to make sure he understands this is a team he can help. And we want him to come help.”
