Cowboys wide receiver KaVontae Turpin, Cowboys wide receiver, decided to return a punt. Turpin was the beneficiary of strong blocking, but his movements were the reason he was able to return the punt.
Los Angeles had at least five defenders who had the chance to catch Turpin. But they couldn’t get the USFL MVP. He slipped by and was waltzed by a Chargers punter for his 86-yard return. Although Turpin has shown impressive moments during camp, his place on the 53-man roster remained uncertain. Turpin’s spot on the roster is almost secured in Dallas thanks to two impressive return touchdowns.
