Monday was a crucial step for Dak Prescott’s recovery. He had the stitches taken out of his thumb after surgery.
Prescott missed the Cowboys’ two last games but is getting closer to his return. Jerry Jones , the owner of Prescott, stated on Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan that Prescott still has to clear one hurdle before he can return to play.
“I think his progress is nothing short of amazing,” Jones said, via Fox News. “It’s a question of whether or not he’ll be able to grip and throw the ball, and we don’t know that.”
If all goes well, when could Prescott be back with the Cowboys again? He stated to ESPN’s Lisa Salters he would not rule out Week 4 against Washington. It is this Sunday.
Prescott also stated to Jane Slater of NFL Network that he is interested in a matchup with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. We’ll have to wait and see what his thumb feels.
After last night’s victory over the New York Giants, Cooper Rush is now 2-0 as a starter at Prescott’s.
