The Dallas Cowboys will be preparing for the 2022-2023 seasons, which marks the seventh season of Dak Prescott’s reign as the team’s starting quarterback. Jerry Jones says that Prescott is the league’s best play-caller.
Jon Machota tweets Jones’ positive quote from Tuesday’s training camp.
“I feel that we have one the most talented people in this position. He is also one of the most talented people I know. He’s a major reason for my optimism,” Cowboys’ General Manager said.
Jerry Jones on Dak Prescott: “I feel like we have one of the best people at that position. And one of the best people (period). He’s a big reason for my optimism.”

This is a huge statement from Jones. Jones claimed Prescott was in a slump in the second half 2021-2022 season. Prescott’s performance was below his previous seasons.
It seems like Prescott has made significant improvements in the offseason. Jones is confident that Prescott will be able to lead this team during the next season. Prescott’s struggles in the last season can be attributed to the left shoulder injury that he suffered throughout the season.
Prescott underwent surgery in March to repair the injury and has participated in the offseason training.
Madden 23 shows that Jones has high confidence in his quarterback. Dak Prescott is sixth in the quarterback rankings from Madden 23. He is ranked 89 overall. He trails Aaron Rodgers (96), Josh Allen (95), Joe Burrow (90), and Tom Brady (97).
The GOAT is still the GOAT 🐐
Tom Brady once again has the highest Madden rating of any QB, but Kyler Murray did not make the top 10 😬

Prescott has even a four point advantage over Matthew Stafford, the 2022 Super Bowl winner, who received an 85 rating.
